Mr. Landau's story takes readers on a journey they will never forget—through thirteen labor and concentration camps, along the Death March from Auschwitz to Gleiwitz, and aboard the grueling death train from Dora to Bergen-Belsen. He is also one of a handful who survived the Zagorow Ghetto in Poland, where his family and thousands of other Jews were exterminated by the Nazi death machine. After Liberation, Abe and his wife Freida emigrated to New Bedford where they opened a small tailor shop. After years of silence, Abe began talking about his dark past. Never an embittered man, he tells a story of faith, hope and the triumph of the human spirit.
